You may see one of the following errors of why you need to run the QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Application
  • The user can get QuickBooks error code 1722 or 1801 when establishing PDF Converter.
  • The user can get QuickBooks error message: QuickBooks can't perform the current action due to a missing component: Missing pdf file component.
  • Quickbooks user may face PDF converter shows offline.
  • Quickbooks user may get error codes -20, -30, or -41.
  • Quickbooks user may face an issue like QuickBooks could not save your form or reports as a .pdf.
  • The user may get face issue like QuickBooks freezes when you attempt to reconcile accounts.
  • User unable to save as a .pdf file.
  • User unable to print directly to the QuickBooks PDF Converter.

Method#1: Install and Start the QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Application
Once the application ends, analyze the .pdf file-associated job that formerly caused the failure. 

If the problem yet happens, kindly restart your workstation and then attempt anew.
  • For Save as PDF, verify if you can print to your XPS Document Writer. 
  • Window+R then write Notepad.
  • Enter something, anything.
  • Move to File -> Print.
  • Select the XPS Document Writer and Tab Print.
  • In the save as dialogue box, select your Desktop.
  • Move to your desktop, and recognize if you can see the XPS report you printed from notepad.
Important: To test print problems, print to your original printer (in place of your XPS Document Writer) and discern if you can publish successfully outside of QuickBooks.

Note: If you unable print to your XPS printer (or original printer) outside of QuickBooks, you will require contacting your IT expert or Microsoft for support as the Microsoft XPS Writer (or your printer drivers) is not an Intuit product.

Method#2: Verify to view if the reconcile window is emerging off of the screen

If QuickBooks seems to lockup later choosing to reconcile from the Banking list, but PDF technicalities are running, the reconcile window may continue to looming off of the screen.

Select the Window list and look into the menu to view if your reconcile window is recorded.
Tick switch off all and start the reconcile anew.

You should now easliy Save invoice as a PDF in QuickBooks! If however, this unable sucess for you, then we advise you must speak with QuickBooks technical professionals to get it fixed.
